MSC Musica delivers classic summer cruising from her home port of Venice. Every summer Sunday MSC Musica will ease off her berth in the heart of Venice and drift past some of the world’s most famous landmarks on her way to the Adriatic. This is one sailaway party you will not want to miss...make sure you have your camera at the ready!
Once underway you'll soon discover that, like her sisters, MSC Musica is a lavishly appointed vessel. Her central foyer sparkles with a three-tier waterfall whilst a piano appears suspended above a pool of luminous water. Elsewhere the La Scala would put many land-locked theatres to shame while the Sushi Bar could hold its head up high in down town Tokyo. Options abound from a la carte dining, cigar bars and wine bars, cafés for food and the internet, plus spa and sporting options that many resorts simply cannot equal.
MSC Musica is the first of MSC Cruises’ ‘Musica-class’ vessels. She became the belle of the ball in Venice on 29 June 2006, where a display of lights and colours celebrated her inauguration. During summer 2011 MSC Musica heads from Venice to Bari on Italy’s Adriatic coast and from there heads south-east to Katakolon in the Peloponnese, where ancient Olympia beckons. Next the Cycladic island of Santorini, a thrilling outpost of whitewashed houses clinging to vertiginous volcanic rock with breathtaking views across Homer’s ‘wine dark sea’.
You can have too much of a good thing but, when it comes to picturesque Greek Islands, it’s difficult! Mykonos is always a welcome stop, there’s plenty to do, great places to eat and drink and… it’s as pretty as a postcard. Piraeus is your gateway to Athens, the cradle of modern civilization and never anything less than an experience. In Corfu you can relax on the brilliant beaches or head inland to see more of this surprisingly diverse and lovely island. You might be heading home now, but Dubrovnik will lift your mood once again; this wonderfully preserved Medieval port always lives up to her ‘jewel of the Adriatic’ reputation.
