Paying direct from your bank account couldn’t be easier or safer.
SOFORT Banking is an international online payment system that makes it simple for you to pay securely by direct bank transfer without having to register or create any form of "account".

Your bank transfer is sent in real time by just logging in with your online banking details and then confirming the process with a Transaction Authentication Number (TAN). You don’t even need to access your online banking.

The SOFORT system is multiple-certified and meets the highest security standards, using a secure payment form with encoded data transmission. What’s more, only your name, branch code, account number, the transaction description, amount and date of the transfer are saved. Your confidential online banking details are never stored.

So you can select SOFORT as your payment option with complete peace of mind.

iDEAL is a standardised payment method for making secure online payments directly between bank accounts. To offer iDEAL as a payment method in an online store, a direct link is established with the systems of participating banks.

The connection to iDEAL enables each customer with access to online banking of ABN AMRO, ASN Bank, Friesland Bank, ING, Knab, Rabobank, RegioBank, SNS Bank, Triodos Bank or Van Lanschot Bankiers to make payments in this way. No other payment product offers this facility.

DEAL is easy to use and requires just a few simple steps on the part of consumers:

  • In order to checkout the customer clicks on the iDEAL payment icon; 
  • From a drop-down list, the customer selects his own bank, which opens the online banking environment he is familiar with. The customer simply authorises the prefilled payment instruction; 
  • As soon as payment has been authorised, the amount due is debited from the customer’s account and transferred to the merchant’s bank account - there is no credit risk; 
  • Just seconds after the customer has authorised the payment, the successful payment status is confirmed to the merchant.

Using our secure system, the invoice amount will be charged to your credit card as soon as you confirm your payment transaction.

So you can relax, knowing everything has been taken care of and all you have to do is count the days to your departure.

When booking your reservation, either a deposit or full payment at the time of booking is required, so please make sure you have sufficient daily spending limits so your credit card company/bank will not block your account. Call the bank ahead of time if you're making a large payment with your credit card.

At MSC we take your security seriously. Our site uses two systems - Verified by VISA and Secure code by MasterCard - that provide extra protection when paying by credit card online. They both do this using a very straightforward password verification process called 3-D Secure to confirm your identity and ensure your credit card can only be used by you.

The secret password is only known to you as the credit card holder and to your credit card issuing bank, and needs to be entered in a pop-up input window from your credit card bank at the end of the payment process. This prevents your password being stolen by ‘phishing’ and means that even someone who knows your credit card number cannot make a payment in your name.

As a result, our system first asks you to enter your credit card's security code, which you will find:
For American Express cards (four digits), on the front of the card above the credit card number
For Visa, Diners Club, or MasterCard cards, (3 digits) on the signature strip on the back of the card
You will then need to enter your 3-D Secure password to complete the transaction.
The 3D Secure protocol is a fraud protection system used to ensure the security of your payments. If your bank offers this extra security measure but your card is not yet part of this programme, you can activate the service completely free of charge on your bank or credit card’s website, setting a password for your personal information.
Once activated, when you make a purchase online, you will be prompted to enter your chosen password to establish your identity as the cardholder.

PayPal safely stores all your personal and financial information behind a single, secure login. It safeguards your card and bank details, enabling you to pay online without entering your sensitive financial information every time you shop.

You speed through checkout in just a few clicks; PayPal takes the payment from your card or bank directly, your financial information are securely stored and encrypted on Paypal servers, and your payment details are never shared on the internet. Your transactions are also monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help protect you.

You can link your bank account, debit, and credit cards to your PayPal account. Then, once you're account is set up, you can use it to make purchases.

Your account lets you pay however you want. At checkout, just choose from any of your credit cards, debit cards or bank accounts.



MSC Cruises uses security software known as Verisign Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to ensure the safety of your online transactions.
The SSL software manages safe transactions from any PC without the need for further software to protect the exchange of data.

SSL Certificates are small data files that digitally bind a cryptographic key to the website,allowing secure connections from a web server to a browser.
SSL is used to secure credit card transactions, data transfer and logins.


You are welcome to pay the balance of your holiday through our Call Centre, providing your credit or debit card details over the phone. You can also pay the balance by cheque, bank transfer or online. You will need to pay the balance of your cruise holiday no later than 63 days before the departure date.

All online transactions are processed using SSL security to international standards and your card details will not be stored on our system. Our sales team will email you a link to your payment form and a password.
You will need to pay within 15 minutes of them sending this email, otherwise the password will expire to ensure your security and you will need to call again for a new one.


Once you have confirmed your reservation, you can pay in any of the following ways, just as you prefer: 

Credit Card: We accept payment by credit card or prepaid card on secure servers. 

Bank Transfer: You can pay for your voyage by normal bank transfer for any reservation made no later than 8 days before departure.
Monthly Instalments: MSC Cruises offers you the option of paying for your voyage in convenient monthly instalments.

If your cruise is scheduled to depart within less than 30 days of the date when you make your reservation, you will be asked to pay the total amount in full. If your cruise is scheduled to depart more than 30 days after you make your reservation, you will asked to pay a deposit of 25% upon booking with the balance of the total amount to be paid no later than 30 days before departure. 

Once you have paid in full, you will receive your tickets in the form of e-tickets sent to the email address specified on your booking form. You will generally receive your travel documents 1 week before departure, with the exception of last-minute bookings.
