Cuba: spend summer under the Caribbean sun:

From the 22nd April 2017, MSC Opera awaits MSC Cruises passengers each Saturday in Havana departing on new holidays towards Cuba, the Antilles and the Caribbean. A great new arrival to experience the most beautiful and popular Caribbean Islands, discovering the Mayan ruins and immersing yourself in the most seductive tropical paradises in Jamaica and Honduras during your summer holidays and the months that follow.

Guests onboard the MSC Opera are granted the unprecedented opportunity to experience Cuba and the Caribbean during summer when it is much easier to disconnect from work and take a relaxing break than in winter, which claims most of our time with family and professional commitments. The weather conditions are excellent and the fascinating mix of nature, vital energy, adventure, local flavours and sounds will amaze you.

During the three days spent in Havana with MSC Opera, you can experiment with the Cuban's characteristic positive approach to life in many different ways. Try sipping a glass of rum, the divine liquor derived from sugar cane cultivated on the island, or meditate with a hand-woven cigar which emanates scents from the tropical paradise and stroll along the Malecon esplanade.

Vieja Habana offers a journey back in time among the historic buildings from the colonial period and the vibrantly colourful American Cadillacs from the Fifties. You will not want to miss the opportunity to take a selfie in Plaza de la Revolución, capturing Che Guevara's sardonic smile. Lastly, the nightlife, which at Havana commences with El Canonazo, a thundering cannon blast, fired from the Castillo del Morro, dedicated to the 'Magi'. An explosion of live music, riotous dancing, parties that last all night long in the nightclubs and on the streets complete the whole picture.

But Cuba isn't limited to Havana.

There is so much to discover, during the long stop over, from relaxing beaches to lush forests and typical rural villages: Pinar del Rio, Varadero, l’Isla de la Juventud and much, much more.
In fact, MSC Opera navigates two different week-long itineraries, departing from Havana every Saturday. The Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico offer monuments and legends of the mysterious vanished civilisation and thousands of opportunities to have fun. There are so many splendid experiences to enjoy in an ever-surprising natural context: dive into the welcoming natural pools formed by the Dunn River Falls (Jamaica), encounter howler monkeys close up in Belize, take an adventurous snorkel among the pirate shipwrecks in Honduras or experience the thrills of stroking a stingray at Stingray City in the Cayman Islands.

So, see you in Cuba this summer and for the whole of 2017.

MSC Divina from Miami to the Caribbean Sea:

MSC Divina will also spend summer 2017 in the Caribbean Sea and the Antilles. The ship departs every Saturday from Miami, which is an ideal destination for flights to/from the UK, with two different one-week itineraries. It is also possible to combine both itineraries to enjoy a relaxing and fascinating 15-day holiday.

Miami is an adventurous and glamorous city, offering thrilling visits to see alligators in the Everglades, uninhibited fun in the nightclubs and among the shops in South Beach.
MSC Divina offers stopovers in Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Mexico (where MSC Opera also arrives) and arrives at some of the most charming islands in the Antilles and the Caribbean: St Maarten, famous for its vividly colourful butterflies and Marigot bay;  San Juan, in Puerto Rico, where you can also explore the rainforest as well as go shopping in the alleys of the historic city centre; the Bahamas to take a breathtaking swim with the dolphins or visit the Atlantis Resort, a copy of the mythical lost city.
