After a year of fierce competition and gastronomic challenges, MSC Cruises is proud to announce the winners of the MasterChef at Sea challenge, following a the final lucky draw held in Geneva. The event saw the crowning of the Veronica Martin from Spain taking first place, with Michel Audier from France just taking second place. The winners were drawn by Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, from the names of all the winners of the Masterchef at Sea challenges across the fleet over the last 12 months.
Veronica Martin’s first prize place means she now has the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enter the official selection process for the MasterChef TV show. Her winning experience does not end there, as MSC Cruises will also be treating Veronica to a sumptuous three-course meal experience prepared by a MasterChef Champion in either the comfort of her own home or local venue of her choice.
Second prize winner Michel will also have the coveted chance to experience MasterChef first-hand by appearing as part of a televised challenge during the series filming dining in a restaurant with dishes prepared by real MasterChef TV show contestants. To top it all off, both winners will receive a sought-after recipe book full to the brim with exclusive MasterChef recipes.
MSC MasterChef at Sea competitions take place for on board for all MSC Cruises guests to opt to take on the challenge of becoming a culinary champion. Mirroring the popular MasterChef TV show, the cooking competitions test creative flair and culinary skills and include the infamous Mystery Box Challenge. MSC MasterChef at Sea was created in partnership with MasterChef producers, Endemol Shine Group, and is just one of the numerous gastronomic onboard experiences developed in partnership with world-class experts who reflect MSC Cruises’ focus on excellence and passion for food.
