On a cruise holiday, there will be times where you’ll be miles out at sea, yet never feel a sense of being isolated or cut-off from the modern world. That’s thanks to MSC’s well-equipped cruise ships where you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. Eat, drink, exercise, be entertained; it’s all possible on our cruise ships and you can include ‘relax’ in that list too because we have the most amazing spa and beauty treatments on board. When people think of what they can get up to on a cruise ship, ‘getting pampered’ isn’t usually one of the first answers, but it probably should be and we’re about to outline why the idea of a cruise ship spa is awesome.
What Is A Spa At Sea Like?
Almost every ship in the MSC Cruises fleet comes with an MSC Aurea Spa. Here, guests can relax their body and mind by taking advantage of the many spa and beauty treatments on offer. Kitted out with an exotic interior comprising natural stone, precious woods and rich mosaics, MSC Aurea Spas offer an extensive range of spa packages with up to 20 varieties of massage including Balinese, sports, Thai and hot stone. There are also 19 body treatments and another 19 facials available, as well as aromatherapy treatments, a manicure and pedicure spa, a sauna and a Turkish bath (depending on the ship). Many spas come with a nail boutique, Shu Uemura Art of Hair suite and traditional barber shop too, meaning you’ll leave feeling totally renewed from head to toe.
You’ll also have the opportunity to take advantage of state-of-the-art beauty treatments at the cruise ship spa
. Some of them include Mya Advance - a genuine alternative to body sculpting - and Q-Frequency radiofrequency treatment and electroporation, a non-invasive, anti-ageing treatment that feeds deep into the skin without needles. All treatments are carried out by expert beauty therapists and come supported by a full ongoing training programme. Additionally, some exclusive signature treatments have been specially created and continuously refined by MSC Cruises.
Kick Back With A Cocktail At The Spa
It’s not just about the treatments; you’ll be able to indulge in an exclusive wellness cocktail in the SPA Bar, with each drink based on the concept of the five colours of nature.
Teens Can Get Involved too
Spa treatments are for everyone and MSC Cruises has highlighted this by creating the ‘Teenage Kicks’ range. Comprising special treatments for young guests, Teenage Kicks offers a wide variety of facial and body treatments for guests aged between 13 and 17, all at teenager-friendly prices. For body and facial treatments and the thermal area, 13 to 15-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult, present a waiver and wear a bathing suit at all times. Those aged 16 and 17 don’t require an adult present but must present a waiver and wear a bathing suit. Treatments will always be carried out by a therapist of the same sex. Under 18s can enjoy a manicure, pedicure and hair treatments on a signature of a waiver but unfortunately, the solarium and medi-spa are off-limits to under 18s.
