What's New With MSC Bellissima?

March 2nd, 2019 is guaranteed to be a momentous day. That’s because it’s the day MSC Bellissima - our newest ship and the biggest ever to be christened in the UK - is launched from the docks of Southampton on the English south coast. We’ve already covered some of the most wowsome things about MSC Bellissima here, but the ship is so massive and majestic that we could easily list more things you need to know about MSC Bellissima...

MSC Bellissima’s Maiden Voyage

The vessel’s initial outing will be a seven-day cruise, calling at La Coruna and Valencia, with an overnight stay in Lisbon and three sea days before concluding in Barcelona on March 12th. After MSC Bellissima’s maiden voyage, she will follow an itinerary that visits several highly desirable Mediterranean destinations, such as Genoa, Marseille, Barcelona, Naples, Messina in Sicily and Valletta in Malta. Once she’s gotten used to life at sea, she’ll begin cruising around Asia from spring 2020.

MSC Bellissima Will Be The First Cruise Ship With Voice Control

You probably already tell Alexa what to do and thanks to the advanced technology onboard MSC Bellissima, you can now do the same onboard. And it’s an industry first, because MSC Bellissima will be the first ship in the world to offer guests a virtual personal assistant, providing quick and easy answers to questions from the comfort of your own cabin. The system is multilingual too and works in the following seven languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Brazilian Portuguese and Mandarin.

Eat, Drink and Do Anything

With 15 publicly accessible decks and enough staterooms to comfortably accommodate more than 5,700 guests (before you even count the staff!), it doesn’t need to be said that MSC Bellissima is enormous. As such, the 315-metre long ship comes with a wealth of bars, eateries and activities to satisfy virtually any whim. Onboard will be 20 different bars, ten restaurants, a Grand Canyon-themed Aquapark and the Polar Aquapark - one of the most intricate and exciting water parks at sea - not to mention, two Cirque du Soleil at Sea productions produced exclusively for MSC Cruises. There’s also a full-size bowling alley, F1 simulators, a large, spacious sportsplex and a TV Studio & Bar, housing a radio broadcast suite and a TV studio broadcasting live games, quizzes, talent contests and other fun content across the ship. This high-tech, multi-purpose space also doubles up as an atmospheric comedy club, karaoke bar and live music venue. For those seeking silence and relaxation, the MSC Aurea Spa is a tranquil haven, offering signature relaxation treatments to revitalise body and soul. Complete with a thermal area, beauty salon and nail boutique, the MSC Aurea Spa will leave you feeling pampered from head to toe.
