MSC Cruise Management is committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace. We have published our statutory Gender Pay Gap data for the April 2025 snapshot, and our CFO has formally confirmed its accuracy in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Understanding Our Data: Our reported median hourly pay gap of 23.9% demonstrates our ongoing commitment to equitable pay across our broader workforce. Our mean hourly pay gap of 36.4% reflects structural vertical segregation within the global maritime industry – specifically, the historical concentration of men in highly specialized, senior technical roles – rather than an equal pay disparity. Furthermore, our reported bonus gap is an artifact of the strict statutory 12-month reporting window; due to our specific bonus cycle, several significant female incentive payments fell just outside the mandatory snapshot period and will be captured in future disclosures.

Our Commitment to Change: We are actively working to correct the industry-wide structural imbalance through our 2026–2028 Action Plan, which focuses on:

  • Targeted Leadership Acceleration: Fast-tracking high-performing female talent into senior maritime and executive roles.
  • Gender-Balanced Recruitment: Mandating balanced shortlists for senior vacancies.
  • Enhanced Retention Policies: Implementing policies, including "Senior Flex" models, to retain specialized female talent.
