ARTISTS
MSC Cruises is proud to host in the Art Gallery of MSC Grandiosa, MSC Virtuosa and MSC Euribia artworks from groundbreaking figures in pop and contemporary art. Their distinctive style and works have profoundly transformed the landscape of art world.
THE ART WALL
Msc Euribia, from June 2023
Experience the artwork, Street 2023, by renowned British artist Julian Opie in l’Atelier du Voyageur bar. The artwork, commissioned specifically for MSC Euribia, is an expansive 11 x 2 m purpose-built LED screen featuring walking figures in Opie’s distinctive style.
“Everywhere I go the streets are flowing with endless strangers, an ever changing but constant stream. Sometimes they seem like coloured shadows, reflections or even the same figures used repeatedly. There are brief moments though when each passing person is a brilliant universe.” Julian Opie
THE ART WALL
MSC Virtuosa, from November 2023
MSC Cruises celebrates three special artists on board MSC Virtuosa: Jim Dine, Michael Craig-Martin, and Emilie Arnoux. These artists challenge viewers to explore the intersection of the personal, conceptual, and everyday by incorporating ordinary items into their art, transforming the mundane into subjects of interest.
“More important than having a romance with the object that I'm drawing, is to have a romance with the mark that I am making.”, J. Dine
“The simplest things can become the most powerful symbols.”, M. Martin
“I love life, light and sea and I paint people who love Life and sea”, E. Arnoux
